RECRUITMENT OF CANDIDATES TO THE POST OF STENOGRAPHERS

Applications in the prescribed proforma appended hereto are hereby invited from the applicants, who are possessing qualification as detailed below as on the last date fixed for receipt of applications for recruitment to the following posts:

• Stenographers: 
• Total No. of Vacancies: 21 posts (Which includes 7 Backlog posts for SC category + 2 Backlog posts for ST category)on the establishment of High Court of Karnataka, Bangalore.
• Minimum Qualification:
• Must posses a Degree from a recognised university or equivalent Examination,
• The Senior Grade Examination in English shorthand with 60% of aggregate marks; or the Proficiency Grade Examination in English Shorthand; and
• Senior Grade Examination in Typewriting in English, conducted by the Department of Public Instruction of the Karnataka Secondary Education Board or equivalent qualification.
• Certificate in Computer Word Processing or equivalent.
• Scale of Pay : Rs. 8000-200-8600-225-9500-250-10500-300-12300-350- 14400- 400- 14800.
• Age limit: Applicants must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of:-
• 40 years in the case of a person belonging to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe or Category-I of other Backward Classes.
• 38 years in the case of a person belonging to Category-II-A or II-B or III-A or III-B of Other Backward Classes; and
• 35 years for others.
• Closing Date:  Applications complete in all respects shall reach the Registrar General, High Court of Karnataka, High Court Buildings, Bangalore 560 001 on or before 9th September 2011 (5.00 P.M.). On top of the cover containing the application the following words shall be written: “Application for the Post of Stenographer" Applications received beyond the date so fixed will be rejected.
