RECRUITMENT FOR SCIENTIFIC POSITION

Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI), an autonomous institution, invites applications from interested and eligible candidates for the following scientific positions:

Scientist E (Clinical/non-clinical/statistical investigator)

Pay: Rs. 37,400-67,000 + GP Rs. 8,700
Qualification: For Clinically trained candidates: ESSENTIAL: MD (Paediatrics) with at least 8 years of academic or work experience post MD including atleast 7 years experience in clinical or population research OR MD (Paediatrics) and MPH (Epidemiology) with at least 6 (if MPH is 5 years) to 7 years ( if MPH is 1 year) of academic or work experience post MPH including at least 6 years experience in clinical or population research.
Age: 55 years

Scientist D (Clinical/ non-clinical investigators)

Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100 + GP Rs. 7,600
Qualification: For Clinical candidates: ESSENTIAL: MD (Paediatrics) with at least 5 years of academic or work experience post MD including atleast 4 years experience in clinical or population research OR MD (Paediatrics) and MPH (Epidemiology) with at least 3 (if MPH is 2 years) to 4 years ( if MPH is 1 year) of academic or work experience post MPH including at least 3 years experience in clinical or population research.
Age: 50 years

Scientist C(Clinical/ non-clinical)

Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100 + GP Rs. 6,600
Qualification:

For Clinical candidates: ESSENTIAL: MD (Paediatrics) with at least 3 years of academic or work experience post MD including atleast 1 year experience in clinical or population research OR MD (Paediatrics) and MPH (Epidemiology) with at least 1 (if MPH is 2 years) to 2 years ( if MPH is 1 year) of academic or work experience post MPH including at least 1 years experience in clinical or population research. OR M.Sc. (Biomed statistics) and MPH (Epidemiology) with 3 years of academic or work experience post MPH including at least 1 year experience in clinical or population research OR M.Sc. (Biomed statistics) and Ph.D including 1 year of experience in clinical and population research.
For non-clinical candidates: 1. ESSENTIAL: Ph.D with minimum of one year post-doctoral experience in chemistry or chemical engineering, immunology, genetics, biology or biomedical engineering, material sciences, engineering or physical sciences or cellular and molecular biology.
For non-clinical candidates: 2. ESSENTIAL: PhD with minimum one year post-doctoral experience in immunology, cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, biology or biomedical engineering. Hands-on experience in using state-of-art flow-cytometers for multi-colour analysis.
For statistical candidates: ESSENTIAL: Ph.D or corresponding degree in mathematics, statistics, biostatistics, epidemiology or similar quantitative disciplines. . One year of R&D experience.
